Length of the forestay
Question to Lars,

Could you please help with the exact figure of the length of my forestay. I do not seem to find it anywhere in the documents in my possession. This because I am about to order a new furler. Furthermore, the say itself should be of 12mm should it not?

Many thanks for a fast answer

Dear Philippe
The length of a wire stay is 19.38 m pin to pin, and this length is without toggles. If you have a rod stay the toggles are usually integrated, then the length is slightly more.
Originally the stay was 10 mm, but if you have a hydraulic backstay tensioner it is appropriate to use 12 mm wire.
Kind regards
Lars
