Rolex Swan Cup
A big thank you to Matteo for organising the biggest class at the Rolex Swan Cup which finished today. This is an important step forwards for the S&S Swan fleet to have their own class and start - the S&S dinner was very good too! It was also an opportunity for me to meet with 4 of the current Swan management.
Congratulations to Chris Frost for winning overall in Finola - a Swan 36, the first Swan design built. Second place went to Shirlaf a Swan 65.
As an observer this time, it was interesting to see that in each of the four handicap classes that the older boats or previous generation boats won. A 601 rather than a 60 in the 60 One Design Class, an 82 rather than the new 80 in the Maxi Class and a 56 rather than a new 53 in the Grand Prix Class.
We look forward to coming with Tigris in 2 years time. Gavin

I endorse Gavin's comments regarding Matteo's untiring work to promote our yachts. The S&S presence at the Swan Cup was an excellent reminder to Nautor Swan that their heritage deserves more than lip service. The passion, which is so often referred to in Nautor promotional material and marketing, is expressed in its purest form amongst the S&S owners. Thanks Matteo!
