"new" Lewmar 65 on place of the old 58

Dear Lars,

I have just found a pair of fantastic original Lewmar ST 65, which are exactly the very same model of the primary pair I already have onboard Vanessa.

They have been overhauled and are now in perfect working order. I am thinking to replace the two 58s with this pair (I am not keen at all to install electric winches), so, when the sea/wind condition is going to be rough I could move back the genoa sheets and use these two as primary without need to jump from the safe cockpit to the upper fwd deck and work with the "original" primaries

Any pros/con?

Thanks a lot in advance for your wise answer!

Dear Matteo

This is helpful if you sail with a small crew.
The 65's will give more sheeting power than the 58's, and their base diameter is only 3 mm bigger, should fit in the same position. These winches have fixed self-tailing jaws which may need to be adjusted for the sheet dimension.
Kind regards
Lars

Dear Lars,

thanks a lot!

Milu' (please see below) is of no help, too lazy, Giulia at the helm, which means I am alone..:!

Dear Matteo and group,

I have two Lewmar Ocean 65s circa 1986 vintage which I have taken off my 43 - just too big.  They are for sale!
