Hull and Deck Quoting the designers notes: “This design fills the gap between the Swan 36 and the highly successful Swan 44. Minimized wetted surface, short keel and skeg mounted rudder at the aft extreme of the waterline are familiar characteristics. The increased length permits a more spacious cabin arrangement. With a 50% ballast/displacement ratio she should be well able to handle her powerful 706 square foot sail plan.“ Carpe Diem is a classic sailing yacht which is most evident in her sweet lines, gentle sheer and low profile cabin. The cockpit is deep and comfortable with wheel steering and a brand new dodger by La Fabrica. The side decks are clear and unobstructed. She is fitted with double life lines with stainless bow and stern pulpits. Teak grab rails are fitted to the cabin top and sure footing is provided by a teak toe rail.
