Swan 38 - screw at the bottom aft end of the keel

Anyone,

I am doing some work on the keel and discovered what appears to be a stainless screw on the very bottom of the keel, close to the aft end, see attchad photo. Does anyone know what this is for?

Cheers,

Terje, 38/047

The purpose of the screw is as mentioned, but pls note that the docking shoe is of stainless steel. There are also docking shoes without visible screws, then there are stainless pins welded to the inside of the shoe.
It appears the keel is covered with GRP. Such a layer does not stick very well to stainless or lead, unless special precautions are taken.
