411 cabintops one off each, or from a production mold?

Lars:

I'm working with a canvas maker to make a spray hood but they are far away from the boat.  The question was raised, if they measured a sister for the pattern, would it be identical?  I guess one of the yards out there who is very experienced with older Swans told the canvas guy the tops would be different - which was not what I would expect.  I would think that all 411's had the cabintops molded from a common production mold.  Could you clarify/settle that question when time allows?

Thanks,

Geoff

Would suggest the cabin tops are identical, as they were made in moulds as you point out. There is the possibility, however, that modifications may have been made later, and it would be good to take a few photos of the critical areas and compare.
Best regards

Thanks so much, Lars - I thought so, but appreciate the confirmation.
