Swan 37 line drawings Greetings Professor, This question I'm sure has been raised before so I apoligize in advance. As owner of Hull #15 I'm interested if any early cabin configerations reflect the sail plan drawings shown on this site? The deck plan, and upper side elevation shows the cabin length common with ours and other 37's I've seen. Forward cabin hatch atop cabin trunk, jumper stay between hatch and mast But the side profile sail plan drawings show a longer fore deck with jumper stay leading to deck rather than cabin trunk top making the cabin shortened. Actually, for me it looks quite modern and in line with currrent designs. Was this design ever built? Please advise, Thanks Steve |

Dear Steve Thank you for this observation, can not remember that this was brought up earlier.
The S&S project drawings indeed show a shorter coachroof, but the yard drawings a longer one, providing standing headroom in the fore cabin.
As far as I know short coachroofs have not been built.
The sail plan shown on the site should better be replaced with one having the long coachroof.
Kind regards
Lars

Dear Matteo and Steve It should be noted that the Swan 37 Deck Plan shown under Documents also has the short coachroof. Unfortunately I do not have a proper deck plan, and it is suggested that Swan 37 owners check if they can find one in their ship's papers Kind regards Lars |
