Raw Water strainer for engine Here on the coast of Maine, USA there is a lot of sea weed. In my Swan 37 I have a ittle in-line raw water strainer plugs up too often. The aft side of the engine box is so tight that a large strainer won't fit. Any recommendations and/or photos of other Swan 37 raw water strainer systems? Thanks and we'll be sailing soon, but not soon enough:) Tom Petrel, 37#53

Hi Tom, I think you can successfully place the strainer in the bilge, mounted to a bulkhead, and run hoses from the intake seacock to the strainer and then to the engine. You will want to allow yourself easy access. Fair winds. Chris, Mabel's Casse Tete 43/003 |
