Generator Dear All, Did anyone of you install a generator? We want to install a generator on our swan 47, but are hesitant with the space restictions. Would reallly love to hear if someone already has experience with this and what brand & the location in the boat that was used? |

Swan 47/57 - "Till" had a generator installed under prior ownership. The drawers across from the forward head were sacrificed for the installation and replaced with a removable panel. The generator is a Mastervolt 3.5 Kw single-cylinder diesel. See pictures attached. I will re-work the exhaust outlet by adding an elbow so that so much space is not lost in the hanging locker. The fuel is plumbed from the starboard diesel tank. The seawater cooling has a separate seacock next to the original toilet flushing water inlet seacock. Douglas - Swan 47/57 - "Till"    |

Hi Douglas, Thanks very much for the feedback which is much appreciated! This location would indeed be workable, as would not generate to much noise for the cabins. Still working on the alternative to get the smallest Panda Marine unit in the stern locker, but the main problem is the entrance fit :-( |
