Fairleads

I have a broken fairlead and one beginning to bend. They are 8'' with four holes, original I think..does anyone know where I can get these?

Thank you

Dear Graham

I would suggest that the fairleads came from Vaassen, a Dutch manufacturer, but unfortunately this company went out of business long ago.

Kind regards

Lars

Dear Graham,

I think Stefano Cioni (Oracabessa, 411/009, mail stefanocioni@dada.it) found an Italian company which makes similar fairleads.

if you strike out, send me the hole pattern dims, diameter and l x w, outside length and width dimensions of the whole part (base), and height of top surface from deck and top gap (opening for line) of the fairleads on the boat. With that info, I could 3D model it and get a short run of parts cast for not too much $$. The foundry where I work pours bronze and monel - I think aesthetically the bronze could be nice on some boats, but on this boat, the monel would look best and be nice for strength and corrosion resistance too. It looks almost like aluminum in the picture - is it?

 Dear Friends

Thank you for the replies. Yes the fairleads are aluminium and when removing them proved to be original..miraculously it was relatively easy to undo them beneath paint!

I may have a solution;  Yves Le Cornec of Nautor Villefranche says that he has some second hand ones that he has kindly offere, if
d to send me  for nothing.;what a star! If not I will look at the offer to manufacture 4 new ones which may then help others.

Thanks to all!!
