The Whitbread / Volvo Ocean Race Legends Regatta

I recently came across a stunning S&S Swan 57 called Berge Viking in Cowes. She had sailed non stop from Oslo to Cowes and was on the way to Alicante for the 30 year re union of the Whitbread race. Berge Viking had been fully restored and was an amazing site to behold. The two skippers on board who sailed her originally were also pretty amazing guys.

Looks like an amazing collection of B&G kit onboard. Its good to see a boat like this so well maintained. Gavin

055/012 Tauranga, now Gandalf Wight Sorcerer, will be in Alicante, perhaps not with the usual lot of naugthy kids on board, those of you who came to Marciana, no doubt know what I am talking about, but with a more limited contingent.
We have to make room for the original skipper and some more presentable deck hands...
