Hi John
I have just cleaned all the brass in my 38 using Brasso (has been around for decades). Brilliant job - will need to do it from time to time but is very quick.

P.S. I seem to recall reading very many years ago that Brasso also gets rid of very minor scratches on the windows and hatches - never tried it myself though

I have been using Brasso which works when the staining is not too bad. Matteo where can I buy "elbow grease"?

We used to put fruit sauce on old coins and let the acid clean it up, but a bit of a problem with the smell.

Any other  possible remedies?

John

we have in Germany a very old company which produces Ballistol Universal Oil. Originally it was designed to clean and support the rifle mechanic.

You can use it for everything inclusing treatening your whole skin.

Look into www.ballistol.de (also in english available). It is a must to have this oil onboard.

regards

Jan
