36 Toe rail
Anyone know whether the toe rail on a 1970 Swan 36 is most likely to be teak or mahogany?

It's been varnished, but if it's teak I'd be tempted to strip it and leave it to weather like the deck. Any advice or opinions on that, or on the best way to treat it - leave it, oil it, or varnish it?

Thanks.

Dear Olle
The toe rail is teak if original. Would suggest you leave it without treatment, keeping it varnished requires much effort.
Kind regards
Lars
