Respray time - which white? This winter Tiderace is going in to be re-sprayed. Well Monday actually! The style stripe and boot tops will be Marlin Blue; but I'm not sure about the white and would appreciate peoples thoughts. I know from the previous posts that the closest is a 50/50 mix of Awlgrip Off White and Snow white; however I'm told that this costs 50% more than just a standard colour and the lead time is a bit long at the moment. I'm not overly worried about not being original, could really do with saving the money for some inevitable fairing etc and would prefer a "dirty" white so the real dirt doesnt show too much. What have others done? Cheers Adrian (I'll post some pics of the prep/finished result as they come.) |

I have found that Awlgrip "Off White" # G8010/F8020/K8008 looks pretty good. This is the color I had my Swan 43 painted in 2003.

We sprayed on the hull and the rudder pedestal also Awlgrip "offwhite". The combination with the original gelcoat color of the deck and cockpit looks not bad.
