Window and Hatch Replacement

Greetings,

Does anyone have any experience replacing windows or hatches on their Swan?

Looking to replace ours, but not sure what our options are. Please share your experiences.

Does Nautor build/sell replacement windows/hatches?

Thanks

Nathan, we replaced the original Goiot hatches against Lewmar. No problem with fitting, leaking or something else. If the glass of the Goiot hatches is blind it could be an option to replace only the glass. We found the Lewmar hatches more comfortable because you don't have a knob to fix the lid when it's open.

Greetings,

I replaced the fwd hatch with a brand new Ocean by Goiot, I think it't better than lewmar (that's a humble and personal opinion) and you just need to get away the old one and install the new one, it's a matter of a couple of hours. I don't like to have a single knob, most of all in the fwd hatch

Toni, Matteo:

Could you let me know the model numbers for the Goiott and Lewmar hatches you purchased for the fore hatch and midship hatches.

Also, either of you replace the portlights as well?

Thanks a lot.

fwd hatch on 38/067 Only You: Goiot Tradition 62.62.

No, I didn't replace portlights,  they are GRP, Nautor custom made, so just need to dismantle them, get new paint on frames and new trasparent, it is not a difficult and expensive task.

Fair winds!

Lewmar Ocean 30 (320 x 450 mm) for midship, Lewmar Ocean 70 (620 x 620 mm) for the forward hatch. Portlights are still original with us.

Thank you both for the information on hatches. Sorry for such a late response.

Toni, there appears to be two different types of hatches for the Lewmar Ocean 70. One is a flat base, and the other is a flange base.

If you don't mind me asking, which of those 2 options did you get for your Swan.

Kind Regards,

-Nathan
