David Carne Vang
We had the David Carne vang on our Swan 44 Infidel serviced by David Carne Sales Ltd. in Penryn Cornwall about 20 years ago. It has started leaking again but I have been unable to get a response from them after attempting contact by email. Does anybody have good contact info for them?

Thanks. I'll give it one more try & hope I get a response. We really like the integral self-contained design & would hate having to replace it.

So far no luck in getting a reply from their email at info@riggers-uk.com. With none of the riggers  I've talked to in the San Francisco Bay area being familiar with our vang, I'm becoming concerned about the prospects for getting it serviced.

Hi Candy,

I used to have the same vang, and David advised me to go to Stay Tensioner Services on the Tregoniggie Ind Estate in Falmouth, where an old employee of his ran a servicing shop. I had mine repaired a couple of times but eventually replaced it with a Selden Gas Sprung devices which has been too weak and poorly engineered. I regret not keeping the old hydraulic vang in commission.
