Swan 48 Broken Gooseneck pin

Snow Wolf Swan 48 (hull 38)

Hi. The goose neck pin has sheared due loads from the main sail tack fitting see photos.

I am thinking of using a soft shackle around the rams horns for the tack attachment as a solution for the Swan Cup, any opions?

Anyone know the dimensions or have a drawing of the goose neck attachment pin for a Swan 48 so I can get a replacement made. Can't physically get the pin at the moment since Snow Wolf is in Cagliari, Sardinia and I'm in England!

Dear Snow Wolf

You could also try to find a small shackle which fits horizontally around the hook shanks, and through the sail cringle at the same time. This would leave the reefing hooks free.
The tape keeps the pin in position. Just a little welding is needed to re-attach the loose top collar to the pin, no need for a new pin.
Kind regards
Lars
