Swan 38 - DRAFT Can someone help with an anomoly? The builders certificate shows the draft at 6.04ft which is 1.84 metres The Certificate of British Registry shows that the draft is 1.73 metres which 5.7 feet Which is correct? Tom Barth Pandra Swan 38 111/116 |

Tom Pls note that this is a register dimension, and the certificates use the notation "depth", which is the internal height, either to the deck edge, or to the imaginary deck camber midships. The coachroof is ignored.
Register dimensions vary in different countries because the definitions can be different, as written down in national laws. Also, the legislation is made for ships, and may not always be suitable for sailing yachts.
