Dear Neil

The 40 did not come with a whisker pole, but if you mean a spinnaker pole the tube dimensions were 100 mm diameter and 3 mm wall thickness.
Could 40 owners pls confirm.
Kind regards
Lars

Hi Lars and Neil

I just checked mine and Lars is correct on the sizes.  I am considering as a winter project building two Carbon fiber spinnaker poles... a little easier on the foredeck!! Having a code 0 and a Gennaker both on a top down furler  I am questioning this but one needs projects...

I do not have a whisker pole. I have seen a lot of Swan 40s and have never seen one with a whisker pole.

Good luck finding one be it a spinnaker pole or a whisker pole.

Mike

Take my hat off if you build the carbon poles yourself :-)
If you need advice I would be glad to contribute. About half the weight is saved.
Kind regards

Hi all

thanks for the responses I think it makes a little more sense now.

i have an adjustable whisker pole and it's the spinnaker pole that's missing.

cheers Neil

I have a reaching strut that came with the boat. It stores on deck on the starboard side in factory made chocks. Is that what you mean?
