Seacocks Dear all, I am sure you all have been seeing this question many times, but unfortunately I can not search for the topic. Are the blake bronze seacocks the recommended ones for replacing the old onces of our Swan 48 S&S? Thanks for your reply!

Dear Ulli, eveni if quite expensive, and nowdays available in two sizes only, I think their simplicity and the fact they are very long lasting make them the best product (at least this is my opinion). When I replaced them onboard Only You (after 35 years) I installed Blakes again Fair winds matteo (47/069 Vanessa) |

I agree with Matteo. I replaced my Blake seacock on Swan 43 "Hiro Maru" in 2000 and it is still fine. They are a simple design that invites routine maintenance and the materials used are first rate. Fair winds, Hiro |

Hello dear S&S Swan fans! I fully agree with what is being written above, but also recommend using Blake's special grease. It does limit corrosion and blockage as far as I can experience, which is not the case of all marine greases. Kind regards. Philippe 41/022 |
