Dear Ricardo The weight you report is about a ton less than IMS rating certificates show. How was the weighing done? If the small trim screws at bow and stern are still there it is suggested that you measure their height above the water surface, with this information the displacement can be calculated. Do you know if your yacht has the original 300 kg lighter keel? From hull 020 all have the heavier keel, but also some of the early hulls have been modified later. You can check this when the yacht is ashore, the vertical distance (not along the trailing edge) from the aft lower tip of the keel to the hull is 47" unmodified, and 52" if modified Kind regards Lars |

Ricardo, although The Professor has given his respectable statement, I think that the weight of your yacht is about correct if you have the original 4900 kg keel. According to my Serenissima's IOR certificate her dry weight is 11220 kg including a set of sails and an anchor with 100 m chain. Her keel has been modified from 2.08 m to 2.4 m and the modified ballast is about 5400 kg. BR, Ilkka |
