Lloyds Register of Ships

Hello List,

1970 Swan 37/17 DULCINEA was reportedly rated by Lloyds Register of Ships as "A1" when she was launched.  Can anyone tell me how I can confirm this rating?  I have not been able to find such a register on the internet.  Many thanks for any suggestions!  Richard McLaren, s/v DULCINEA, Chicago.

Hi Mclarenr,

you should contact SpareParts at Nautor, they should have all the documents in their archives.

Fair winds!

Dear Richard

A bit of history:
At the time of issuing your certificate the society was named Lloyd's Register of Shipping, but later shortened its name to Lloyd's Register.
The certificates were issued at their Turku office in Finland, but this office does not exist any more.
Lloyd's Register is based in the UK, and had a Yacht & Small Craft Department in Southampton where all the documents should be on file, but it appears this department is not there any more.
In case the yard is unable to find your certificate you could enquire at    info.lr.org/yachts
Kind regards

Lars
