New faucet

Hello sailors,
I'm the new owner of Four Winds 44/014

I'm looking forward to renew some parts of my beautiful Swan.
I'd like to maintain the "old" style of some pieces.
Now I'm searching for new faucets.
The one you see in the pictures is the one that I now have, I don't know if it resembles the original, but I would like for the new one to have this this kind of style.

Thank you so much to anyone who has info about faucets!

Here the galley faucet as shown in the original Swan 44 brochure, and it appears to be similar to yours, but the water spout is fixed.
As far as I remember, these faucets came from GROHE, and the company does still exist, but they do not advertise the old faucets any more.
Kind regards
Lars

Leonardo,

in my 1977 411, the shower/sink faucet of the toilet is exactly like yours.  Several years ago I had to change the long hose that comes out and I had no problems in finding a replacement.

What is the problem with yours? Parts that can fit, even if not of the original manufacturer, are still available.  In the worst case you may need some additional coupling but it is not a great deal since it will not be visible.

Thanks a lot and fair wind

Hello dear S&S Swan fans!

I am not sure why you want tos change your faucets!

No problem to find a shower flexible pipe, its quite standard.

No problem either for the rubber gaskets closing the faucets as they are standard Grohe, same for the faucet heads themselves.

ONLY PROBLEM: to uncscrew the heads in some cases!  On our 41 I was never able to unscrew the heads of the bathroom faucet... a pity as we have to stay with the original rubber gaskets wich are not in a great condition...

All the best.

Hi Phillipe,

Have you find a way to unscrew the faucet heads (knobs)? It seems there is not a locking screw.

Sorry but despite other tries... no way to unscrew the heads to replace the gaskets.

Luckily we are not using very much the electric pressure system.

All the best.

Dear all

It appears the Grohe knobs just pull off, are held by a plastic sleeve with snap action

Kind regards
