Hello Phantom!

There are few possibilities that I could inform you about depending on the location of your boat or on how far you are prepared to go to have the job done: Sweden, Denmark, Germany or even Thailand where there is a team of very knowledgable people from Finland (yes, the home country os Swan) and other from NZ that have set up a super refit facility in Phucket. The manager is from Finland and I know hime well. He is first class. This Thai alternative is of course the cheapest, alas, it is so far!

Tell me what you think.

Thankyou Phillipe! My 65 is presently located in St.Martin, Caribbean. I will need to complete some of the works on location. Maybe some of the Swan Thai tradesman would care for a change of scenery?

Hello Again

1/There is a person presently in Trinidad: A Swede, extremely handy and knowledgeable in matters of boats and related issues. He has helped me a lot in the past with my old Swan 37 and my present Swan 47. He has been building boats and is very precise and accurate. He might be interested in assisting you. Write to him an email: bh38bh@yahoo.se and/or talk to him over skype:"eagleuno".

2/Their is another person, highly recommended by many. I talked to him and he is going to help me with some work. He is very knowledgeable and has been recommended by members on this site under selected yards. Talk to him. He might be interested in a change of scenery and moving for a while from Hamburg to St Martin: Hans-Werner Ramm, Schauenburgerstr. 17, D-22880 Wedel, Mobil + 49 (0)171 9283032, Telefon: + 49 (0) 4103 9883203, Fax + 49 (0) 4103 97141.

Cheers/Philippe

Hi Phantom

I am one of those who have had Hans Ramm work on my boat. He is an excellent craftsman, honest and takes a great deal of pride in his work. In a business where there are a lot of questionable characters he stands out as quality individual who charges a fair price!! He also has had some experience in the Caribbean.

I can highly recommend him. I hope you can convince him to help you.

Good Luck
Mike
