Dear WillFox Afraid that very few people on this forum know what KG means. G is some distance below the water surface, suggest you ask for an IMS certificate, the position is given there. The point K can be defined in several ways for sailing yachts, and without knowing which one you use an answer can not be given. Kind regards Lars |

Dear Will KG is abt 2.75 m, but pls be aware that there are variations affecting this to some extent: -early hulls have lighter keel, later heavier -there are ketch and sloop rigs, and tall ketch rigs -early hulls have heavier scantlings, later lighter IMS certificates can be found on US Sailing's website. I guess your questions to the yard may be too detailed, the information is considered confidential Kind regards Lars |

William Suggest that IMS certificates are used as these are based on measurement. Found one Swan 55 sloop, KG = 2.15, and one yawl, KG = 2.25 Lars |
