Advice on replacing propane stove
Dear all,

It seems the Shipmate 3-burner propane stove on my boat needs replacing. Does anyone has some advice for me for a good replacement stove? I am looking for a somewhat classic look, which will fit nicely in the classic interior of the boat.

Best regards,

Dear Gerrit,

techimpex, an Italian, makes a stove which is a good and reliable product, all stainless steel, cheaper than the Alpes Inox, Italian too, but extremely expensive.

Fair winds!

Personally, I don't like gas in boats. Gas is heavier than air, consequently, if there's a leak, it will find its way to the bilge. For that reason I have installed a Taylors carosine stove. It's slow and in many ways impractical. But it's safe and it looks neat.

Thanks for your advice. I will certainly take a look at Techimpex and also will take the gas-less option into consideration.
