Hi All,

Marry Christmas!!!

We are finalising the finishing touches to our classic swan purchase and wondered who would be the best insurer? who do you recommend?

Kind regards,

Dear AJ,

Pantaenius has an agreement with Nautor, so try to call your local office and tell them you have a Swan, they should get you a special price; the Pantaenius conditions are usually among the best on the market.

Pantaenius owner is himself a S&S Swan owner (even if he did not join this Association...!!!).

Fair winds!

Dear AJ, totallly agree with Matteo. Pantanius are not the cheapest on the market but from my experence of two yachting claims over 14 years offer a very fair and comprehensive policy and are very proffesional in supporting you during a crisis and very fair at settling claims.

You get what you pay for with insurance!

Bit late, but.

We insure through Richard at WG Yachts.  Very good service and sensible prices.  He is also always on the end of a phone for help and advice.

As an aside, Pantaenius wouldn't insure us as we do some charter work.

Good luck and happy sailing.

Adrian, just returned from the Uk Boat show and asked Pantanius if they would insure me for charter work. No problem.

Dear AJ.
We too are insured by Pantaenius on Aorangi and covered for paying guests on board no problem. Costs a little more, but well worth it. Was first with Pantaenius Europe and now with Pantaenius USA and no issues on either side of the pond.

Good luck, and may you never have to use whatever you choose!

Dear All,

Thank you for all of the replies they have been very helpful.

I have gone with Pantaenius (cost was very good compared to the cover you get and extremely helpful staff)

They were the only insurer I could find that would cover the £5m third party that is in the entry requirements for the Swan Euros in Cowes this year.

Will any of you be entering?
