Spinnaker experience Swan 38
Dear all,
we are about to purchase a new spi for our 38. With our sailmaker and some friends we are discussing about details (weight, cut, size etc.) The existing spi is a 55% runner. We now want to add a second one, not knowing if it should have around 75oz/sqm or 90oz/sqm. It should be a more or less all purpose spi, keeping in mind what we have in our wardrobe already. The Swan 38 tends to dump into the sea with its nose a bit, the rudder is slightly short so pulling it round the corner is a bit tricky sometimes. We are sailing in the baltic sea, an area with very low waves ? under normal conditions. Do you think, a 45% Tri Star cut with 75oz/sqm will be best? Or a 40% one...
We are interested in your opinion helping us to take the right decision.
Thanks for your help and good winds so far!
