Lewmar 65ST primaries

On our Swan 55 yawl the teeth of our primary genoa winches are quite worn, causing the Genoa sheets to slip - does any one have an idea of a source for spare parts for these winches? Lewmar themselves do not list parts for these older winches.

Hi Rikys,
agree with Sam. you can ask for info from sales@winchspares.com too. Lewmar, (at least in Italy) no longer supplies spare parts for our winches as they are giving a rebate for restitution of the old ones to replace with new ones.

Sam It is suggested you check that the small pinion wheel driving against the inside of the drum is located at the point where the sheet meets the drum. This has significance at high loads, with wrong position the drum tends to deform, and the pinion may slip.
